Last week, Campbell, Harrington & Brear was recognized by the York County Chamber of Commerce as one of three finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award.

Unfortunately, we did not take the top honor at the final ceremony: We were among three great companies and only one could claim the top prize.

Still, being one of three finalists for Small Business of the Year – out of all the small businesses in York County – is a huge honor for our company.

It says a lot about our commitment to producing the best advertising/marketing available anywhere.  It says a lot about our extremely Chamber of Commerce Honors CH&B continued »

For the most part, personal injury attorneys exist in a parallel universe. They live their lives and we live ours … until that awful moment comes.

Suddenly, the world is turned upside down: You need the counsel of a personal injury attorney and you need it now.

To accommodate this need for immediacy, the law firm of Martz and Gailey has implemented a 24-hour hotline, with calls directly routed to an attorney’s Blackberry, any time, day or night.

That hotline is a key component in the firm’s new website, designed, constructed and recently launched by CH&B. Visitors to the website may also contact the attorneys via a web email feature, which also directs messages immediately to the Blackberry.

“We’ve been really pleased,” says David Moellman, attorney for the firm. “We’ve been getting hits and turning some of them into clients.” The site utilizes the same images from the firm’s ubiquitous outdoor advertising and every page reminds visitors about Martz and Gailey’s “free consultations” and “24-hour hotline.”

Further, it was constructed so that the firm can easily update and add content. Because it is blog-enabled, it will enjoy increased search engine exposure once the attorneys start posting on a regular basis. And because it was built on a modular platform, it can easily be expanded to accommodate future expansion.

“We’re definitely very happy with it, says Moellman. “And as with everything else CH&B does, it’s first class.”

Look for more Martz & Gailey website and hotline media messages as the campaign unfolds later this year.

Paul Katz wanted a sneak peek.

As chairman of Activate America at YMCA of the USA, Paul was about to invite the YMCA of York County to participate in the Gulick Collaborative, an organizational improvement effort designed to transform the way YMCAs work with individuals and families to support healthy living.

First, though, Paul thought he’d visit the YMCA of York County’s website to get a feel for what the local branch is doing.

“He thought it was great,” recalls Larry Richardson, CEO of the YMCA of York County. “He said, ‘I just want to tell you, I’m really impressed” by the Be Moved microsite and its animation.

Since we created that microsite, his kind words moved us, too.

But they also underscored the importance of a strong website. In today’s world, your website is often your first impression. If dated or ignored, it risks being your last impression, too.
