A Perfect Logo

for the Highway to Ale

When an ale trail logo makes you thirsty, you’ve done good work.

That, after all, was the crux of this particular assignment: Create a brand mark that really whets the beer-lover’s whistle.

The York County Convention and Visitors Bureau was preparing to launch the Susquehanna Ale Trail, a seven-stop, self-guided tour of Central Pennsylvania breweries, brew pubs and craft-brewing outlets. But the CVB needed an iconic mark to generate that Pavlovian response among the region’s connoisseurs of good times and great beer.

What we delivered fully opens the salivary tap: A frothy glass of golden ale positioned as an iconic symbol of refreshing beer goodness. Geared primarily to the male demographic, it is bold, masculine and as inviting as a cold drink on a hot day.

Plus, the logo is versatile. As part of the concept-vetting process, we evaluated each idea’s potential across all media, from black and white to full color, including black line, soft good applications and even etched glass. What the client selected works well in every environment, including print, digital, T-shirts, hats and other logo wear.

Bottom line: Yes, we are a full-service advertising and marketing firm, capable of meeting all your strategic marketing needs. But sometimes you need a single item, and we can do that, too.
