New Media Seminar - artIn today’s sales marketing and promotion world, your company’s website is your brand’s mothership, the living, pulsating heart of what is, hopefully, a contemporary media strategy.

Your blog; email blasts; social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In; phone apps; PURLs; QR codes; whatever … are just a few of the many new media tools that when working together will shape your brand, while directing traffic to your website.  It is the interaction and linkage of these multimedia components that creates the SEO octane that lifts your company closer to the top of Page One on search engines, which strengthens your brand, enhances your image, increases sales, grows revenue …

That’s just a tiny slice of the new media market today.  In many ways, the market is so brand new and so difficult to understand due to its constant evolution that few people have any real knowledge about it, much less a real understanding of how these new tools can help build their business. Holy Spitit Hospital - Blog Image“Without question, this website advances the development and use of future hospital sites,” states Mel Campbell, “as well as sites across a range of industries. It also features an information architecture that allows visitors to get to the content they need and want, quicker.”

Roughly two years ago, Holy Spirit and Campbell, Harrington & Brear embarked on a new media strategy for the hospital.  One key component to the strategy was the development of a new website.  Not just any new site, but a site that would be fully managed by the hospital, without having to drag in the IT people or a third-party provider for every change.

There were other important objectives, too. They wanted the site to better target the hospital’s audiences with cleaner messaging. They desired quicker, easier access to the “library” of information. They also asked us to market the hospital’s Centers of Excellence, promote the brand better, and develop greater search engine optimization (SEO). Trebilcock For Judge - OutdoorToday is a great day for York County, for Craig Trebilcock and for Campbell, Harrington & Brear advertising agency.  Tuesday, Trebilcock, the candidate CH&B represented for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of York County, won the top spot in a seven-person race for two available seats on the bench.

Not only did Craig win, he hammered the competition.  Trebilcock came very close to receiving double the votes of his nearest competitor!  That is incredible to begin with, but to do that in a seven-person field is amazing!

Memorial Hospital TV SpotCLICK HERE to view the Memorial Hospital Heart and Vascular Center TV Spot

High tech … When it comes to heart care, everyone claims it, so the marketing challenge comes in finding a way to say it better, more creatively, in a way that sticks.

When Memorial Hospital wanted to inform the Central Pennsylvania region about the new services offered at its Heart and Vascular Center, we wanted television to be at the heart of their campaign.

As ideas were being kicked around, an EKG was suggested as a visual component in the concept. But President Mel Campbell insisted that if we were to take that familiar course, we had to find a way to make it different, more compelling.

camera Craig TrebilcockLandmark decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court are few and far between. So we’re excited to have been knee-deep in the Court’s decision, announced Wednesday, on the Westboro Baptist Church verses Albert Snyder case.

Attorney Craig T. Trebilcock who filed the initial lawsuit against Westboro on behalf of York resident Albert Snyder, and who served as co-counsel on the case as it wended its way to the Supreme Court, is presently a candidate for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of York County.

Because we represent attorney Trebilcock in his candidacy, we had to be well prepared for the media onslaught once the Supreme Court made its decision.

Facebook Google IconWhether your business is small or large in the scope of its service and the products it offers, advertising strategy and media placement are crucial to the success of driving traffic to your location, creating sales leads, or generating orders online.

In the past, a traditional media buyer would handle media placement. However, as the universe of media options has grown, the responsibilities of the position have grown as well. The traditional media buyer has been replaced by the media strategist – a person who has command of and can manage the plethora of new and traditional communication platforms for reaching your target audiences.

A media strategist will examine your needs as well as your budget to fulfill those needs.  The media strategist will then develop a course of action based on research of your business and the numerous channels of communication that are available to reach your target audiences.

CHB Website on a monitorWe’ve done it. After months of creative give and take (and, yeah, a bit of push and shove), we’ve launched our new website, www.chbadv.com.

The result? A site that better communicates our brand, more effectively displays our work, and more accurately conveys our command of contemporary New Media.

“I couldn’t be more proud of my people and their accomplishment in designing and building this outstanding reflection of our many capabilities,” said Mel Campbell, president and founder of Campbell, Harrington & Brear. “Since 1978, we have distinguished ourselves by helping clients cut through the confusion and stand out in the crowd. This website does precisely the same thing for us as an agency.” Continue reading “Campbell, Harrington & Brear Launches New Website” »

Recently, the York County Chamber of Commerce asked us for a list of the non-profit organizations we have completed pro-bono work for over the past, say, five years or so.

The list below speaks for itself.  I was amazed and delighted that CH&B contributed work to that many deserving organizations.  The listed organizations received significant donations of time and effort.  There are still another two dozen or so not on the list for which we did quick one-time project work.

I am very proud of our community commitment.  If any non-profit reading this blog has a need for advertising agency expertise, give us a call.
